The 1st team defeated Ayr at Peoples Park in a tense match that came down to the last over to seal a 1-wicket win, mainly thanks to a great all round performance of 87 and 3-29 from Jan Stander.
The 2nd team struggled at Rossie Priory and slipped to defeat. They travel to Mannofield on the 15th of August in what is a must win match to shift themselves up the table.
The 3rd team continued with their youth policy to great effect. Winning the toss, and bowling out Gordonians for 97, including 3-21 from 15-year-old David Kidd and 3-23 from 11-year-old spinner Abdullah Afridi. The chase was more of a struggle, but a quickfire 22 from Colin Moir got the innings off to a great start but a calm 28* from David Kidd sealed the win by 3 wickets.

The 1st team welcome Ayr to Peoples Park as they look to extend their league unbeaten run. They are looking for Heriots to drop points in the last few games so they can take the Division 1 crown.
The 2nd team are still flirting with relegation in mid-table but a win on Saturday would greatly boost their chances of staying up.
The 3rd team look to get all 30 points against Gordonians. With promotion still on the cards. They need to win their remaining games and hope Kemnay and Portcullis drop points.
Stoneywood make it 10 in a row : Rayner on 2010-08-08
The 1st team travelled to Stenhousemuir this weekend in the hope of securing a place in next seasons Premier Division of the SNCL. An inspiring performance from Elton Willemse with both bat and ball was key. Taking 4 wickets for only 21 runs as the home side were bowled out for only 127. Elton then went on to rack up and unbeaten 73 as Stoneywood chased down the total with 5 wickets to spare. Another performance of note was that of debutant Rory Saunders who took 2 for 2.
The 2nd team managed to pull off a narrow victory at home to Strathmore. Stoneywood’s total of 208 for 8 was just enough as Strathmore were held to 194 all out.
Only 1 Completed Match Over The Weekend : Rayner on 2010-07-31
With rain in Aberdeen and a call off from 2nd Dunecht on Friday night, only the 1st team managed to complete their match, winning comfortably by 132 runs against bottom side Penicuik, with Jan Stander and Grant Jamieson passing 50, with Waqar Mohammad taking 4-38 playing his first match.
The second team bowled out Strathearn for 155 and chasing they were 0-1 from 1 before the rain stopped play, and the game was abandoned.
Big Weekend Ahead for Stoneywood : Rayner on 2010-07-28
The 1st team have a trip to bottom side Penicuik on the cards as they look to secure their place in the new format Premier Division for next season. A win would also boost aspirations of going into the new format as champions of Division 1.
The 2nd team have a tough fixture against Strathearn. Having lost their last 4 matches, a win is crucial as they sit in sixth position, but only 3% of the bottom of the table.
The 3rd team have a must win match against 2nd Dunecht at Duthie. Their youth policy will remain in place but several key players are away this week.
